Outside The Box

Outside The Box is a celebration of the game of Squash.
A cast of professional players, actors and school children bring the story to life on three glass-back courts, exploring its fascinating origins in a London prison to the mountains of Pakistan and beyond. The story of Squash mirrors the evolution of the Commonwealth, and Outside The Box playfully explores this journey, to engage family audiences.
This physically demanding sport is loved in countries the world over and Pakistani players of the illustrious ‘Khan Dynasty’ dominated for many years. The show will pay tribute to their remarkable achievements, as well as uncovering the incredible struggles players like Maria Toorpakai went through, just to be able to play the game.
Look out for a special appearance from current Commonwealth Games Gold medal holder, James Willstrop, who will perform in the shows.
